Club Profile
The Gore Bridge Club was started in October 1963 and some of those first members are still playing today! This year we have approximately 80 members and we are a friendly bunch.
Weekly games are played on Monday nights and Friday afternoons throughout the year. Our two annual tournaments; the Junior Tournament held at the end of May and the Open B Tournament in July, are popular events.
The annual subscription of about $60 makes this great game one of the best value, most entertaining, and healthiest nights out you can find anywhere. It’s $5 per session to play on Monday evenings and $4 and a plate on Fridays. Casual players are most welcome!
Where to find us
Gore is on State Highway 1 between Dunedin and Invercargill.
Gore’s giant trout at the town’s entrance reflects the excellent fishing in the area. It’s also known for the fabulous Eastern Southland Gallery, Hokonui Moonshine, Gold Guitars country music festival and Hokonui Fashion Awards.
